Paperwork Submission Guidelines For Consignors

To present every horse at its absolute best, we rely on high-quality photos and videos from consigners. The photos, videos, and paperwork you submit are the foundation for how your horse is represented in the catalog, online promotions, and during the live sale. The stronger the photos and videos, the stronger the buyer interest. Please review and submit the following materials carefully.

REQUIRED PAPERWORK & DOCUMENTS

Please upload or provide the following documentation for each horse:

Original or copy of AQHA or APHA registration papers
Signed transfer report
Negative Coggins test (dated within 6 months of the sale date)
Current Health Certificate
Brand Inspection (required for Oregon horses and must be noted on health papers)
HYPP N/N test results if the horse is descended from the stallion Impressive

PHOTOGRAPHS

High-quality photographs are required for every consignment and will be used in the sale catalog, website listings, and social media promotions.

Photo Guidelines

File format: .png preferred
File size: under 25 MB
Preferred shot: Saddled side profile
Clear, well-lit, and professional-quality images are strongly encouraged

VIDEOS

Videos are strongly recommended and play a major role in marketing your horse to buyers.

Video Guidelines

File size: 80–100 MB
Submit a downloadable version
- .Mov or .Mp4 format only please.
Must be submitted no later than October 1, 2026
Videos received after this date may not be played in the sale ring or posted online
Do not include copyrighted music

Videos are played while the horse is in the sale ring and may also be used for website and social media promotion, so quality and clarity matter.

While we make every effort to promote all consigned horses across our social media channels, promotion is not guaranteed by Western Legacy Horse Sale. Submitting high-quality photos and videos greatly increases the likelihood of your horse being featured.

All horses may also be photographed and filmed during the event, and that content may be used in WHLS and partner social media promotions.
